X FACTOR champs Little Mix shot to No1 last night with their first single – but their mentor Tulisa Contostavlos can’t stand it!

The 23-year-old, who was thrilled when the girls she calls her “little muffins” became the first band to win the reality show, admits she isn’t a fan of their song.

The babes’ cover of Damien rice’s cannonball has shifted 210, 129 copies in just seven days, more than any other single’s first week sales this year.

But Tulisa had no say in the choice of song, which was selected by X Factor bosses and can’t wait for them to do something else.

“If I’m being honest the debut single cannonball is more of a formality for them,” she said.

“The real fun will begin when they get in the studio and find their identity.”

But she added: “I do believe they are going to be the biggest girl band we’ve had for years.”

The girls – Perrie Edwards, 18, Jade Thirlwall, 18, Jesy nelson, 20, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 19 – are overjoyed to be chart toppers.

Jade said: “To go to no1 is simply amazing. We want to thank everyone that has sup- ported Little Mix. it means the world to us.”

Their mega success even drew applause from 52-year- old X Factor boss Simon cow- ell, who said: “i’m absolutely thrilled.

“I think they have something really special.”

But their triumph is set to be short lived as the Military Wives choir are tipped to re- place them at no1 on Christmas Day with their single Wherever You Are.
