Little Mix talk to Cambio about the USA and a second album

The Little Mix girls recently saw down with Cambio to talk about upcoming plans, DNA and the X Factor.

When asked about their debut album ‘DNA’, Jesy responded..

Jesy: “We basically wanted to make it as versatile as possible, we’re all into different music. Leigh-Anne is into old school R&B, I’m into R&B, Jade’s Motown and Perrie is old-school rock.”

The girls also talked about what music their fans wanted to hear, and co-writing the album..

Leigh-Anne: “We wrote songs like ‘Wings’ and ‘Change Your Life,’ songs that we knew our fans would love,”

When quizzed about the second album, the girls announced they won’t be releasing an album every year (a feat that most X Factor stars seem to do..see JLS and One Direction).

“We’re going to start the second album next year, we’ve got so many ideas for it, we want to make every song better than the last.

The girls collectively agreed that Nicki Minaj would be the deal person to duet with, the US rapper has taken the worldwide by storm scoring a string of top 10 hits around the globe.

Jesy: “I think one of our mains as a group would be someone like Nicki Minaj.” That would be a lot of female energy on one terrific track.”

They’ve surprised fans time and again, but what has surprised them?

Jade: “I think every single time something happens. We’re so overwhelmed by it; we just take everything as a compliment, to even be in this position now, we never thought a year back that we’d be doing this. We all had really normal jobs, normal lives. We can’t even remember winning the X Factor. It was such a blur to be honest!”

The girls seem to also be touched by the vast amount of attention they are recieving across the Atlantic..

“Every time we do something, whether it’s a gig or even now, like a U.S phoner [interview], it’s like, ‘Are we really getting into American magazines?’ Every day is kind of overwhelming,”
