Little Mix and Iggy Azalea collab

The four-piece girlband are behind Britney Spears’ hotly anticipated comeback single, according to The Sun.

Members Jade Thirwall, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Perrie Edwards and Jesy Nelson originally shot to fame as winners’ of the 2011 series of The X Factor.

The track – entitled Pretty Girls – was originally written for their upcoming third studio album, but didn’t make the cut.

Happy days for 33-year-old Toxic singer Britney, who will instead release it as a collaboration with Australian rapper Iggy Azalea.

“This is a huge coup for Little Mix. The song is really brilliant but the lyrics just didn’t end up fitting well with their own record. But Britney loved it and wanted to pick it up for her own album as soon as she heard it,’ a source reportedly told the publication.

Adding: “It’s amazing for them that Britney has decided to release it as her comeback single – and perfect timing given they’re about to release their third album. This will really help their profile in America. It’s a real sign that the girls have a big future as songwriters as well as pop stars.”

New music alert..it has been coming. A new Little Mix video has surfaced with Japanese girlband FLOWER called Dreamin’ Together.

Peep the video and song in full below…

Hmm not a huge fan of the song, girls look great though! The song is set for release in Japan (for the moment) on March 4th

Little Mix and Iggy Azalea collab

Recent details of a potential Iggy Azalea/Little Mix collab surfaced a few months ago, and following Iggy clarifying that in fact they haven’t collaborated, Jesy explained what actually happened:

“The Iggy Azalea rumours are because we wrote a track. It was a song we didn’t want. We wrote it for ourselves but we didn’t feel it was us, so we put it out there. Apparently she wants it. So there is definitely no collaboration” – Jesy (Daily Mirror Newspaper – 14th February 2015)

No word if this is true or not but I guess time will tell…

So I found these whilst trolling various sites, these are some songs registered for Little Mix from various writers and producers.

Some of them are familiar such as Iain James (Wings), JR Rothem (Everybody In Love – JLS, In My Head/Whatcha Say/Ridin Solo – Jason Derulo) and The Monsters and the Strangerz (Guap – Big Sean, Clique – Kanye West).

New LM Songs

In addition to this, it look as though the new album will be out in the summer according to an interview with girls in Wonderland Magazine, though at the moment this is unconfirmed.

Are Little Mix going to perform new songs soon?

Little Mix have just been confirmed as the first act to perform at the Bizarre Annual 2015 inaugural awards show next month.

The Sun’s Head of Showbiz, Dan Wootton said, “Little Mix will be performing at my star-studded party next month.”, he also added that McBusted will also be performing, and that the event will be hosted at ‘Steam and Rye’, a nightclub in London owned by Kelly Brook.

Although it’s still early to tell, you can’t help but think the girls could perform some new songs, along with the classics, at this exclusive event. Click on the image above to enlarge for more info on how to win tickets to the event.

Either way keep it locked on LittleMixDaily for more details on the night itself.

Charli XCX says she's a fan of Simon Cowell but not a fan of his musical acts

Charli XCX says she’s a fan of Simon Cowell but not a fan of his musical acts.

The 22-year old singer hopes to one day set up her own label like the X Factor judge, but clearly isn’t a fan of the songs released by SyCo acts like One Direction, Susan Boyle or Little Mix.

‘I think Simon Cowell’s cool, I’d love to be in that position, but from the point of view of making music that’s not s***,’ Charli told Q magazine.

The goth pop star got her big break after collaborating with Icona Pop on the single I Love It, which grew in popularity after appearing in an episode of HBO’s Girls.

Her first number one didn’t come until after she had released two major label albums, when she co-wrote the song Fancy with Iggy Azalea.

Despite her poppy situation in the music industry, Charli says that she found it hard to pen songs for the genre, so spent time in Sweden to produce a purely punk record.

She told Q magazine: ‘I couldn’t make any pop music because I hated pop music. I just didn’t want to think about it I wanted to be free.
‘It was a case of getting it out of my system. I felt stuck.’

Charli recently released her new single, Doing It, featuring Rita Ora with a music video that sees them playing seventies style armed robbers.
