No Bitterness Here…

Rebecca Ferguson has given her blessing to ex-boyfriend Zayn Malik’s relationship with Little Mix’s Perrie Edwards.

The ‘Backtrack’ singer dated the One Direction heartthrob in 2011 before calling it quits four months later. Last week, Zayn, 19, spoke out about their failed romance for the first time, saying it was a “mistake” and “shouldn’t have happened.”

However, Rebecca says she is shocked Zayn dismissed their relationship so quickly but refuses to spill the details on why their union came to an end.

“I was so shocked by what he said! But I’m not going to retaliate,” Rebecca wrote in her column in new! magazine.

“I’m not one to reveal big secrets about what’s gone on in a relationship, and I think he was probably put up to this. I know him too well to think he’d say it deliberately.”

“I won’t talk about what went wrong between us but he knows what happened. And it is what it is,” the singer added.

Zayn has now found happiness with ‘DNA’ singer Perrie Edwards but Rebecca says she is happy for the new couple.

“I am a fan of the Little Mix girls and she seems lovely. I think they’re good together,” Rebecca admitted.
