Little Mix star Perrie Edwards won’t let being one half of the world’s most famous pop couple go to her head.
The Geordie beauty revealed she and One Direction fiancé Zayn Malik have yet to pick a wedding date but insists the frenzy around their relationship is far worse for the boybander.
‘I haven’t started planning the wedding yet,’ the 20-year-old exclusively told Guilty Pleasures before their storming comeback on The X Factor last night with new single Move.
‘I will get an idea of what I want once I have a date. Right now we are so busy. They’re so busy, we’re so busy so I haven’t got the time but as soon as I am ready I will let everyone know.’
When they do pick a date, the couple will do things ‘the old fashion way’.
‘When you’re in this industry life’s never going to be normal. As much as you try. I do whatever I want. I go shopping all the time. I go out for food. Go out with my mates. I do everything normally but obviously Zayn is really famous so it’s harder for him but we still do what we want to do. We like to stay grounded and be normal people and not act like divas.’
Following in the footsteps of the Beckhams and Brangelina, Edwards says you won’t catch her pouting in her shades.
‘I’m not like “Oh I am going to be so mobbed today and everyone is going to take my photo”. I don’t see myself like that,’ said the down-to-earth star.
Her stance can be a little tricky at times, though, when she does get mobbed.
‘In Manchester a girl pulled a lock of my hair out once. She hugged me and then tugged my head and just walked away hugging it,’ said Edwards.
As for bridesmaids duties on the big day, Edwards says there will be stiff competition for her bandmates.
‘All my family are girls,’ she said. ‘It’s going to be really hard. I don’t have any boys in my family.’
For now, she is braced for her last days of singleton with the cheeky Little Mix girls eyeing up a party in Sin City.
‘A hens do?’ she gulped. ‘Why not?’
