Being a singer in Little Mix, who are arguably the world’s hottest girl band right now, has its ups and downs, and for sure, one of the downsides to it is being photographed by the press wherever you go.
And no matter how grim you may look – after a night out or an early morning dash to Costa sans make-up – somebody somewhere WILL spot you and take your pic.
However, when it comes to the paparazzi, as every A-list celeb in the world will know, they can be ruthless in their pursuit of THE picture; the one that every newspaper and magazine will want to buy from them…
And as LM singer Perrie Edwards has been explaining to We Love Pop magazine, it can all get very scary.
She said, “It is scary, especially at night when they’re all flashing [their cameras] and shouting at you.”
Her band mate Jesy Nelson added, “They chased a group of us on my birthday!”
However, she remarked that one of her party guests, Union J’s George Shelley, knew how to deal with the annoying paps…
She said, “He threw cake at them!”
Waste of cake though eh?
Jade Thirlwall then revealed that she suffered when she lived in a house that didn’t have any gates, because of course, there was no physical barrier to stop the photographers getting right up to her if she ventured outside. Which she soon stopped doing until she looked immaculate apparently. Bless her.
But on the subject of photos, the girls were asked if their parents ever embarrass them by showing their boyfriends old baby pics, which is a question that Perrie – who is of course engaged to One Direction hottie Zayn Malik – answered first…
She said, “I love all my baby photos, so I’m not embarrassed if Zayn sees them.”
However, Jade added that while she’s not too bothered if her boyfriend sees her baby pics, she did get a tad red-faced when her folks insisted on showing off videos of Jade aged just 13 singing her little heart out.
She said, “He was cringing, though he probably loved it!”
