Little Mix are a British girlband who have come first in the UK talent show X Factor. The show has founded many acts such as Alexandra Burke, JLS & Leona Lewis. Little Mix (made up of Jade Thirlwall, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock & Perrie Edwards) became the first ever band to win the X Factor. The girls performed a variety of songs from Nicki Minaj to En Vogue. The girls are now signed to Simon Cowell”s record label SyCo and have released their debut single Cannonball, a cover of Damien Rice’s hit single. If it was up to us we’d have a new Little Mix album every week, so it kinda sucks that they’re perfectionists and have to make sure it’s all hit, no shit before they chuck one out. The good news, though? Perrie, Leigh-Anne, Jesy and Jade are already in the studio working on the follow-up to the platinum-selling Get Weird and we’re SO READY.

We don’t actually know much about LM4 yet (other than that they’ve had some studio sessions with Digital Farm Animals); so we thought we’d ask Perrie Edwards to give us all the goss. Here, friends, is what we found out:

1. It’s gonna be ‘epic’ (obviously)
“It sounds epic so far. So, so good. Oh my God, you should be excited. I love it, it’s blowing my mind. I’m so happy with everything so far. It’s going really well.”

2. They’ve somehow managed to top the last three albums
“We’re so obsessed with Get Weird that it has to be a step up. We were worried when we were making Get Weird that we loved it that much we were thinking ‘how on Earth are we gonna make this better and up our game?’

“But I think we’ve managed to. We’ve worked really hard on this album and we’ve had some incredible writers.”

3. It’s probably more Get Weird than DNA or Salute tbh
“It’s another step from anything we’ve ever done before. It’s a lot more cool-sounding. It’s quite slick, but at the same time it’s kind of like Get Weird. It’s very Little Mix, that’s all you need to know.

“Still pop, still fun, a little bit of quirkiness; especially production-wise this time. Some of it’s quite chilled and laidback. You’re in for a treat.”

4. The whole process has been ‘like therapy’
“It’s very – and I know we probably said this about the last album – honest. It’s very what’s been happening in the past few months or the past year. We’ve been through a lot personally, emotionally and career-wise. Every aspect, we’ve wanted to just get off our chest and the best way to do it is with this album.

“That’s why we’re loving it so much. It’s like therapy.”

5. They’re keeping schtum on those DJ Snake collaboration rumours
Is Pez up for telling us anything at all? “I can confirm that’s a no.” GAH.

6. It’s all for the Mixers
“We’re working very hard for them. We feel like we know what our fans like now and what they want to hear and want us to talk about in our music. Hopefully we’ve got it right, ‘cos we love them and want to keep them happy.”

7. We might be getting it this year *struggles to cope with life*
“You’ll have to wait and see. Hopefully this year. We’re onto a good thing, so we’re just gonna let it happen naturally.”
