Jade’s blogs about an intimate moment with her bin man!

Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall gives an exclusive blog about her style to Sugarscape. Check it out below…

“Hey everyone!

“Oh my goodness, before I start, the most embarrassing thing happened the other day. I was at home and heard the rubbish lorries coming and realised I hadn’t taken me bins out, so was like ‘Oh my god!’ ran to the kitchen, grabbed me bin bag, ran out to the bin-man and gave him me bin-bag and he was like ‘Oi oi!’ at me. So I was like, “what?” and I looked down and I had me thong on! I was just in me t-shirt and a THONG. Full on cheeks out and everything. I wasn’t even thinking, I was SO embarrassed and just crept back in the house. It were awful.”

“ANYWAY. Right now I’m wearing comfy jeans, red socks with Timbalands, a white blouse, hoop earrings and a long necklace with some diamante headphones on. We didn’t get styled today so this is stuff I’ve all picked out meself, along with a bracelet from a fan – you know one of those ones with all the beads and stuff on. I love it.

“We’ve been styled in Little Mix how we like to dress anyway, but just emphasised more. I love bow ties and braces, any kind of bows. I love bows in my hair, on me shoes, anything. We’ve all got icons, mine is the bow, Perrie’s is the flower kind of hippie-boho thing, Leigh-Anne’s got the hat, and Jesy’s got radio for her street kinda style.

“I love my style, it’s kind of urban-geek. I like the Oliver Twist kind of style, like quite boyish with shirts, ties and blazers, that kind of thing. I’ve got so many bow-ties at home now, I’ve got a drawer full of them. Possibly more than Harry Styles!”

“We’ve just come back from holiday and it was weird for me because I usually dress so boyish in like, shorts and stuff, and I don’t really wear skirts and dresses a lot. But when I went on holiday I bought maxi dresses and things like that, and it was a nice change to be in a floaty maxi-dress. I bought this really nice catsuit thing from Topshop – at first it felt weird in all the dresses, I felt really awkward and like I couldn’t move properly, but then it was a nice change. I hate wearing bikinis and stuff too but it was a quiet hotel so it was alright.

“We don’t tend to swap clothes that much, we have our own styles but sometimes we’ll go out shopping and come back with the same things or something similar. It’s cool because we’re individuals but we do all like similar things. “When I’m at home I love a onesie. I’m ALWAYS wearing them at home, people have started giving them to me now because they know how much I love them! If we’ve got a photoshoot or something and I’m chilling out I’ll be in me onesie, but if I’m at home I’ll usually be in me boyfriend’s baggy t-shirts and big comfy clothes.

“In terms of hair, I look after it a lot but now I put treatments in it every few weeks and stuff. In this industry the amount of torture your hair gets with blowdrying and stuff and all the products you put in it, I think sometimes less is more. Now I don’t like having a lot of products in me hair so I try and keep it natural and healthy. For make-up I think it’s really important to cleanse properly. I’m really bad, sometimes if I’m too tired I’ll just use a facewipe, but otherwise I use the dermatologica stuff – that’s really good. I’ve discovered gel eyeliner too, it’s really cool. It’s gel, and you get the brush with it and it’s much easier to apply and stays on better. I got mine from MAC, it’s quite a weird texture but it stays on for ages and it’s really cool.”

“We were invited in to Rihanna’s Styled To Rock which is kinda like the X Factor but for stylists. They were put into two teams like The Apprentice, and each team had to design an outfit, and we had to help which team was the best. To be honest both of them were good but they were things that we wouldn’t usually wear but they did do a good job, and then we had to pick which team we liked and had to wear it for a photoshoot.

“It reminded us of X Factor really and I felt really bad having to tell one team that it was a no. I imagine for them – like, for us when we were told no it was like the world had ended because it was our dream to do this, so for them being a stylist is their dream and getting told no is devastating. Having to watch their faces when we said no was really hard to do.

“Anyway, got to nip off to the studio now as me taxi’s here, lots of love! xxx”
