THE X Factor winners admit the designs for their dolls have received mixed reviews with them being unhappy with some of the features.

The quartet – Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall – have signed a six-figure deal to release their own dolls in time for Christmas.

But so far, the doll-makers’ work has met with mixed reviews from the real-life models.

The girls, who are about to release their new single Wings, were stunned when they were presented with their lookalikes – and they were all completely bald.

And they aren’t sure about some of the dolls’ features either.

“Have you seen the film The Witches, where they take their wigs off?” asked Jade. “That is exactly what we looked like.”

Leigh-Anne added: “It was so weird seeing a mock-up of them.

“Seeing our heads like that … we didn’t have any hair so we were just these bald heads. And we were, like, ‘Our noses don’t look like that!’ They did get a few minor things wrong but, aside from this, it was the most surreal thing.

“I was really surprised how right they got mine, my face was really accurate … except for my cheeks. I’ve got really chubby cheeks anyway but they made them, like (does puffer fish impression). It was crazy.”

Jade continued: “We got to dress them up, put them in our clothes, our own styles.

“Mine has little trainers with bows on and everything. It’s brilliant.”

Perrie thinks her doll is rather less brilliant, though.

“I look like the Child Catcher off Chitty Chitty Bang Bang,” she said. “My nose is huge and long. I told them to just give me a nail file and I’d chisel it down.

“When we originally said that we wanted our own doll range, it was us taking the mick. But now it’s actually happening!

“We’re really selling the dolls here, aren’t we? Yeah, don’t buy our dolls – they’re soooo ugly.”

Jesy, 21, added: “I can’t believe I’ll be able to buy myself in Toys R Us.”

The dolls are now back in the workshop being reworked after the girls’ suggestions.

Perrie said: “We’ve all got hair now, for a start, so things are on the move.

“When they do come out, they are going to be amazing.

“We wouldn’t have it any other way.”
