Jesy Nelson has admitted that she suffered from alopecia as a teenager.

Jesy Nelson has responded to Jade Thirlwall’s revelation that she’s considering having a boob job because she is envious of Nelson’s curvier figure.

The Little Mix  singer believes that Thirlwall is “too young” to opt for surgery, and advises others to “learn to love” themselves before they consider changing their bodies so drastically.

Speaking to GLAMOUR.com, Nelson said: “Jade’s got a beautiful figure. We’re all different shapes and sizes and Jade, when she’s older, maybe, but she’s too young for a boob job!

“I would love to have Jade’s figure. She can eat what she wants and she never puts on weight. I think she’s got a stunning figure – she doesn’t need a boob job. She said she’s going to wait a few more years yet, and see if they get any bigger, then if they do, she won’t have to get one.”

Advising younger readers on dealing with their own body insecurities, Nelson said: “I think you just have to love yourself, to be honest, because nobody’s perfect. And people that are… Then they’ve had work, ha ha ha.

“I literally think you just have to love yourself. If you’re really genuinely not happy with your weight, just be a bit more healthy, do some exercise and make yourself feel better about your body. But I think everyone, before they do that, they need to learn to love themselves.”

When asked whether she was worried about the message she was sending to her younger female fans by speaking about her desire to undergo a breast enlargement, Jade Thirlwall said: “No, well what I said was, obviously I’m a very flat-chested person. I’m happy at the minute, because there’s loads of beautiful women that have got a flat chest on them. But maybe in a few years to come I might do if I still had a complex about it. But I’ve still got time to grow yet. My mum said when you have a baby, right, that your boobs grow then. So you never know.”

Giving advice to others on battling their own body demons, Thirlwall concluded: “I think everyone’s got that little something that they’re not happy about. I don’t know any girl that is completely happy with themselves. Everyone is their own worst critic. You’ve just got to learn to embrace it, really, because that’s the way you were made.

“Everyone’s different, and I might not be so happy about not having boobs, but there’s other things I might like about myself. You’ve just got to think positively all the time.”
