X Factor stars JLS have had to cancel a summer concert, with claims that they were unable to shift enough tickets.

The runners up were due to perform alongside X Factor winners Alexandra Burke and Little Mix at Carlisle’s Bitts Park.

Officially, the group blamed the cancellation on “unforeseen and unavoidable rescheduling”

A spokesperson said: “It is due to timelines being changed, requiring recording studio time to be extended, creating an overlap issue and knock-on effect for the earlier shows of the summer tour.”

But News & Star report that the thousands of tickets had remained unsold ahead of the date in August.

It’s the latest blow for stars of The X Factor, who have been having a bit of a rough time recently.

X Factor winner Matt Cardle became the latest winner to be dropped after just one album, while Alexandra Burke is also struggling in the charts.

Her latest single, Let It Go, only managed to scrape into the Top 40 at the weekend.

Marcus Collins has also been tipped to be axed by his label after disappointing album sales, with new single Mercy nowhere to be scene on iTunes.

At least One Direction are doing well!
