X Factor's Little Mix, Amelia Lily and Aiden Grimshaw set for chart battle

X Factor winners Little Mix will battle it out with former finalists Amelia Lily and Aiden Grimshaw for No. 1 when all three acts release singles later this month.

Yes, Britain’s Got Talent finished only recently and yes, it barely feels like a week since The Voice screamed into our living rooms, but brace yourselves for another dose of TV karaoke later this month when The X Factor returns for another series and three of last year’s finalists all release new singles.

2011 winners Little Mix have been busy working on a new album and will send the first single to be taken from it chart-wards on August 19, Wings.

Amelia Lily recently signed to Xenomania meanwhile and her debut album will hit the shelves in November, with the single You Bring Me Joy expected to be released on August 26.

Aiden Grimshaw completes the trio, with his second single Curtain Call from the album Misty Eye debuting on August 12.

Grimshaw only finished ninth on the 2010 series of The X Factor but has secured a record contract thanks to his loyal Twitter following, with his first single entering the Top 40 at No. 35 last month.

Who do you think will win the X Factor chart battle?

Little Mix debut new single, ‘Wings’

Little Mix have debuted their new single, ‘Wings,’ in an exclusive lyric video on their official YouTube channel.

The girlband, who became the first ever group to win The X-Factor last year, uploaded the song ahead of their first performance of the song at T4 On The Beach later this afternoon.

Co-written by Iain James (Professor Green’s ‘Read All About It’), the old-school R&B track showcases the girls’ impressive harmonies and contains an empowering chorus which appears to allude to the issues of bullying:

“Mama told me not to waste my life – she said ‘spread your wings, my little butterfly, don’t let what they say keep you up at night, and they can’t detain you, these wings are made to fly’.”

The follow-up to the band’s number one cover version of Damien Rice’s ‘Cannonball’ will receive its official radio premiere on BBC Radio 1’s The Chris Moyles Show on Monday morning.

Little Mix Books!

X Factor winners Little Mix will release their debut single at the end of July, it’s been revealed.

The group have spent the past month in the recording studio putting the finishing touches to their debut album, due out later this year.

And one of the group’s singers Leigh-Anne let slip on Twitter today that their first track would be out at the end of July.

It’s expected that the girls will perform the song when they appear at T4 On The Beach on July 26.

Speaking previously about the type of music they were recording, Jade teased fans that the group would be coming out with something “so different.”

She said: “The album’s going to be so different. No-one’s expecting what it sounds like.”

Little Mix Books!

Our favourite girls Little Mix have confirmed that they have written their debut single. The group – who became the first group to win X Factor UK – played the single in front of label boss Simon Cowell and admitted they were fearful.

The four-piece – consisting of Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall – admitted they were nervous when they had to play their new single to Simon for the first time.

“We had a meeting with Simon three weeks ago so he could listen to the track, and it was like sitting in the headmaster’s office,” Jesy told the Daily Star.

“We were so nervous before going in, it was surreal.” Jade added: “He really liked it. He’s happy with the progress we’ve made in such a short time and just wants us to be as successful as One Direction. “The album’s going to be so different. No-one’s expecting what it sounds like.”

Little Mix recently told Digital Spy that their new single is “quite old-school” and that they will be “bringing back the old harmonies”

Excited?!

Part 2 to Kingpin’s diss aimed towards Leighanne has leaked in full. The song wrongfully titled ‘Industry Hoe’ was apparently written when Leighanne was at X Factor, referring to the ‘industry; as the music industry. This follows the leaks of two other disses written by both Leighanne and Kingpin. Read the rest to listen to it….

Finally the Leighanne and Kingpin disses have leaked onto the worldwide web for all to listen. The song was recorded when Leighanne was 16 years old. We have exclusive access to both of the disses for you all to listen to of the record disses by clicking “read the rest” below…

Kingpin diss to Leighanne
Leighanne’s response

Just to clarify it was Kingpin who started the diss because Leighanne wouldn’t duet with him, this made him and so he released a diss insulting her and her family. Leighanne then made her one diss replying to all those negative remarks about her. Please do not judge Leighanne by this, she was only 16 (she’s 19 now) and what would you do if someone dissed you and your parent…..
