Little Mix star Perrie Edwards isn’t taking part in the festive tradition this year.

The 20-year-old, from Whiteleas, South Shields, who won the X Factor in 2011 and got engaged to One Direction star Zayn Malik in 2013, said:

“I’m not going to bother making one this year because I can never stick to them anyway!”

Whereas her co group member Jade Thirlwall is hoping to better herself in the new year.

The 21-year-old, from Laygate, South Shields, said:

“I want to learn to play piano properly, and I’m going to try not to moan so much when I’m tired, and to try to exercise a bit more.”

Interview - Little Mix talk 90s style & stealing their boyfriends' clothes with Fashionista

In the world of Celebrity, it’s true that you have to be careful about who you get close with. Just look at all those Skype shots and sexts that have been leaked recently… It’s enough to scare anyone.

However, the Little Mix girls haven’t even got the chance of getting close to any guys as nobody ever hits on them! Which, I fail to believe. Maybe they look intimidating?

Speaking to The Sun, 1/4 of X Factor group Little Mix, Jesy Nelson said that even when they’re single, no guys ever hit on them.
She also went on to add that there was someone she really liked a while back, but because she was a ‘celebrity’ he wouldn’t approach her.

“These days, boys don’t approach us, even when we’re single.

“There was someone I liked a while ago and our hairdresser was like… ‘Hell never approach you because, to him, you’re a celebrity.’

“I get it because before I was doing this I would never have gone up to a celebrity but I don’t feel like I’m a celebrity, so I’m like, ‘Why can’t he ask for my number?’

Listen - Little Mix reveal the message behind new single 'Little Me'

Little Mix have opened up exclusively to Capital about their brand new single ‘Little Me’ and how much it means to them and their fans.

Listen to Little Mix chatting to Capital showbiz reporter Kevin Hughes about their new single ‘Little Me’ below:

The ‘Move’ four-piece confirmed earlier this week that the ‘Salute’ album track will be their second release from the record, and say the message of the song is to make their fans feel good about themselves.

“We really wanted to write a song basically about what we would tell ourselves if we could go back in time,” Jade explained to Capital FM this week, while Leigh-Anne Pinnock explained: “It’s basically a message to the fans because a lot of them are quite young.

“It’s like we’ve all been through it, we’ve had haters and people telling us we can’t do it and it’s like, ‘Well I wish I hadn’t have handled it in that way, I wish I hadn’t have let them get me down’.

Little Mix are also set to perform live at the Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball 2013 on Sunday 8th December.

Little Mix babe Perrie Edwards couldn’t heap more praise on One Direction’s music video for brand new single ‘Story Of My Life’ with the singer admitting that both she “cried [her] eyes out” while watching the clip with her mother.

Perrie, 20, is engaged to One Direction hottie Zayn Malik so it comes as no surprise that she is the boy band’s biggest cheerleader with the ‘Move’ singer gushing over the visuals for the boy band’s latest single, which sees them take a walk down memory lane to revisit their childhood, even enjoying cameos from their family members.

Praising the music video, Perrie told EntertainmentWise this week: “Omg have you seen the video? I watched it once, I cried my eyes out. I watched it again because it was that amazing, I cried.

“I went downstairs [and said], ‘Mam, you need to watch this video,’ she was like ‘What’s the matter?’ I was like, ‘It’s the new 1D video you need to watch it.’ Me and my mam just sat there blubbering together, crying.”

When bandmate Jade Thirwall, who is yet to watch the video, asked if it’s a sad clip, Perrie continued to gush: “It’s so beautiful, it’s so beautifully executed. Ben who filmed it and stuff, he’s so talented and the boys just look amazing in it. It’s the best video I’ve ever seen, I love it. I’m a bit biased I know but it is amazing.”

Watch - Little Mix perform Move & give an interview on Daybreak

If you missed it this morning check out the girls taking their Move promo tour to the ITV studios for a performance on Daybreak.

The girls also gave an interview talking about Kingsland Road and of course wedding rumours.

Zerrie Wedding - Perrie to covert to Islam in favour of a Muslim wedding while Louis is said to be the best man

Little Mix star Perrie Edwards won’t let being one half of the world’s most famous pop couple go to her head.

The Geordie beauty revealed she and One Direction fiancé Zayn Malik have yet to pick a wedding date but insists the frenzy around their relationship is far worse for the boybander.

‘I haven’t started planning the wedding yet,’ the 20-year-old exclusively told Guilty Pleasures before their storming comeback on The X Factor last night with new single Move.

‘I will get an idea of what I want once I have a date. Right now we are so busy. They’re so busy, we’re so busy so I haven’t got the time but as soon as I am ready I will let everyone know.’

When they do pick a date, the couple will do things ‘the old fashion way’.

‘When you’re in this industry life’s never going to be normal. As much as you try. I do whatever I want. I go shopping all the time. I go out for food. Go out with my mates. I do everything normally but obviously Zayn is really famous so it’s harder for him but we still do what we want to do. We like to stay grounded and be normal people and not act like divas.’

Following in the footsteps of the Beckhams and Brangelina, Edwards says you won’t catch her pouting in her shades.

‘I’m not like “Oh I am going to be so mobbed today and everyone is going to take my photo”. I don’t see myself like that,’ said the down-to-earth star.

Her stance can be a little tricky at times, though, when she does get mobbed.

‘In Manchester a girl pulled a lock of my hair out once. She hugged me and then tugged my head and just walked away hugging it,’ said Edwards.

As for bridesmaids duties on the big day, Edwards says there will be stiff competition for her bandmates.

‘All my family are girls,’ she said. ‘It’s going to be really hard. I don’t have any boys in my family.’

For now, she is braced for her last days of singleton with the cheeky Little Mix girls eyeing up a party in Sin City.

‘A hens do?’ she gulped. ‘Why not?’
